2K paint is made up of 2 parts; acrylic paint melamine (colour) and hardened resin. Combining these two components together create a chemical reaction and produce a hardened solution.

Mixing Ratio & Application:

2 parts paint, 1 part 2k hardener (2:1)

Add 10% 2K thinner (Amount may vary due to application method (Spray Gun Set Up))

Apply cover coat of 2K paint and leave for 10-15 minutes

Quick air-dry enamel is a tough industrial paint with extremely rapid drying properties, which give shorter down times than other paints. It is made up of high quality Polyurethane and Alkyd, which gives it the high level of durability and flexibility. 

10-15% Universal thinners required

Synthetic enamel paint is a very durable and ideal for a more robust finish. Synthetic enamel will give you a smooth finish in 2-3 coats, however it will take longer to dry than other paints due to it chemical reaction.

Mixing Ratio: (Dependent on weather and temperature conditions)

1 part synthetic paint, 10% synthetic thinner (Spray application)

Cellulose paint is a direct gloss finish and provides an excellent coverage and high gloss finish when used with a quality high gloss thinner.

Mixing Ratio: 

1 part cellulose paint, 1 part cellulose premium thinner (1:1)

 Vehicle Refinishing Regulations on Solvent Based Products

It is against the law to use non-compliant solvent based paint and materials for refinishing / restoration of motor vehicles, unless the vehicle is classified as vintage (over 30 years old) or classic 

Exceptions:

1. None compliant vehicle paint / materials manufactured before 1 January 2007 can still be sold and purchased until stocks have depleted
2. To avoid the environmental consequences of disposing of none compliant materials Defra and the Welsh assembly granted permission ( August 2007 ) for Auto body repair / refinishing garages to use up any existing none compliant materials they have in stock.
   

What is not included?
Certain products, including plastic adhesion systems and polishes are excluded from the legislation. The legislation does not cover the repair coating of industrial projects, motor bikes, historic motor cars or any agricultural machinery, such as tractors.
