STEP ONE: SCAN THE PANEL
The KAPCI BLINK 5A is a compact and easy- to-use multi-angle spectrophotometer with five standard measuring angles that allow us to accurately evaluate and control solid colors, pearl colors, metallic colors and finishes with special effects. Thanks to its strategically located optical components, it can be accurately positioned even at difficult intersections. It is an economic instrument that provides practical data to drive the improvement of current processes, while ensuring color harmony. We will need a panel from your vehicle to complete this step.
Please note, we cannot accept large panels due to storage.
STEP TWO: CHECK FOR COLOUR CHIPS
The kapci variant system is made up of color boxes with 120 color swatches, totaling 9,000 colors. The comprehensive system can be used to retrieve over 35000 colours. The front of the swatch cards shows the colour as a spray out and the back features the colour code.
Once we have a reading from your panel we will check for colour chips and compare them to your panel.
STEP THREE: MIX THE PAINT
The Kapci base 670 and Kapci cryl 660 system was designed to provide excellent colour matching and has brought extraordinary solutions in the Car Refinish industry globally. The system comes with Pearlescent, Metallic, Solid and Magic Color toners. The 1:1 system is easy to use, and has excellent coverage and durability. The system is complimented by a range of products that includes surface preparation materials, primers, putties, fillers, 2K clearcoats, hardeners, thinners and polishes.
STEP four: spray out
Before application, check the colour. This is the final step before starting the job. This step is crucial to ensure there are no discrepancies in the colour. Treat the card as if it was your vehicle; prep, paint and lacquer if needed. Once dry hold the card up to your vehicle to check the colour. If you are happy with your colour then proceed to complete your job. If there are any discrepancies with your colour, you need to bring the spray out card, panel and wet paint back to store. A member of our paint mixing team will take a look at the items you have brought and re-access the situation.

Please note, custom colours are extremely difficult to replicate. Please ensure you purchase enough paint for your whole job as paint batches can change.
A member of our team will check for a colour code. If there is a code, we will check colour chips to to the vehicle and start the process from there.
